The dog is on holiday too.
Robe is one of those rare places where life seems to move at a dog's pace. Long beach walks, fresh sea air, plenty of open space and enough interesting smells to keep even the most enthusiastic sniffer occupied for days.
Many of our properties welcome four-legged family members because holidays are simply better when everyone comes along. No kennels. No guilt. No wondering if they're having as much fun as you are.
From sunrise beach walks and afternoon adventures to post-swim naps in the sunshine, Robe is a pretty special place to holiday with your dog.
A couple of things to remember:
• Check local leash requirements before heading out.
• Always clean up after your furry friend.
• Be mindful of wildlife and other beach users.
• Bring a towel. Trust us on this one.

After all, they spend all year waiting patiently while you go to work. The least they deserve is a holiday by the sea.
Is Long Beach Dog Friendly?
Long Beach is a favourite destination for many visitors travelling with their dogs.
Rules can vary depending on the season and specific sections of the beach, so always check the current regulations before visiting. You can check the local Robe Council regulations here.

Our Beach Recommendations?
For great, calm water, lots to sniff at and a safe swimming space head over to Hoopers Beach (was the old Yacht Beach). This is an off lead favourite, but again check the regulations as off lead time can change depending on the season.
The best beach for a good old-fashioned off lead dog frolic is West Beach. Here your dog can loose their mind in the sand dunes and swim in the rock pools at low tide. Please note their is quite the undertow so no throwing the ball out to fetch.
Cafes and Wineries
Robe is a dog friendly kind of place. As long as they are outside and well behaved all cafes are happy for your four-legged family member to join you at their outdoor tables. You'll normally find water bowls around the outside and pupacinos on the menu. :)
The Robe Town Brewery is actually dog friendly inside as well which is great news for everyone, especially in the cooler months. The heaters inside will be on and, as long as well behaved, your pup can enjoy a warm space, a comfy couch and some cool blues while there.
Cape Jaffa Wines and Loophole Brewery are also doggie friendly outside in their garden area. You'll also meet 'Jenny' their friendly local Malmute patrolling the area.
Walking Trails
All of Robes walking trails and sporting areas are dog friendly on leash (as long as there is no sporting event on). You will find most areas in Robe are dog friendly and as long as your dog is well behaved they will be treated like VIPs. l
Don't forget that dog ownership comes with responsibilities. Make sure you dog is not left at home by themselves and, as always, remember to pick up anything left behind.
