WALK

The best way to discover Robe is at walking pace.

You'll find dramatic cliff tops, long stretches of sand, hidden beaches, historic streets and ocean views that make you stop mid-conversation and say, "Wow."

Most walks here come with sea air and very little traffic.

Not a bad combination.

Explore our favourite walks below:

#1 Robe Foreshore Loop (including the Obelisk)

The journey kicks off on the eastern side of town, leading you along the water's edge before dipping into the township and out toward the Robe Lighthouse. The highlight for many is the trek to the iconic Robe Obelisk, where the vibrant, tropical-coloured ocean provides a stunning backdrop for photos.

The path is partially paved and generally easy to navigate, though the coastal location means you should be prepared for a bit of a breeze. With a few scenic spots like Doorway Rock and Town Beach to enjoy, it’s worth packing some snacks so you can sit and soak in the atmosphere.

#2 Fox's Beach via Coastal Walk

Starting from Mundy Terrace, this popular walk guides you along Robe's stunning limestone coastline. The trail follows the cliff tops and drops down to beautiful beaches, offering amazing ocean views the whole way. It's a fantastic walk to experience the rugged beauty of the coast, with a well-marked path that leads you all the way to Fox Beach.

#3 Beacon Hill Trails

At the end of Beacon Hill Road before the climb you will see the trailhead sign.  This is a complex and extended trail of mixed pathways through the scrub and incline of the hill.  It can lead you right through to Fox's Beach and the drains or out to Little Dip and the Hermitage.  This one needs a little more preparation if you are going to spend some time out this way - water, snacks and a map are a good start.  Phone coverage can also be intermittent so make sure you know where you are going.
